Gulf South Electric was originally founded in 1992 by Master Electrician Keith Gravois. After gaining years of hands-on experience—including managing a local electrical contracting firm—Keith became known for his expertise in all phases of electrical construction, particularly motor controls. His entrepreneurial spirit eventually led him back into business ownership, this time alongside lead electrician Rex Archer.

In 2008, Keith and Rex restructured Gulf South Electric with a renewed focus on delivering reliable, ethical, and top-quality electrical service to the Gulf Coast. Their complementary skills and shared work ethic built a strong foundation for what would become a trusted name in commercial electrical work.

Over time, the company developed a specialty in supporting property managers, becoming a go-to provider for retail centers, restaurants, industrial sites, and more. Today, Gulf South Electric continues to stand out for its honesty, responsiveness, and commitment to doing the job right the first time.
